Pay Plan

Version 0.1.0-draft

Terms of service

Effective

Draft. This text is a draft under review and is not yet the operative policy.

The service

Pay Plan is a budgeting tool that works out a safe-to-spend figure for the days until your next pay day, from the bills, goals and spending you tell it about, or that reach it through a linked bank. It gives general budgeting information about the money you already have. This section will state plainly that it is not financial advice and does not recommend a bank, an insurer, a loan or any other financial product.

Eligibility

Using Pay Plan will require being old enough to hold your own account under New Zealand law and able to agree to these terms. This section will state the specific age and any other condition once PROD-E06 has settled them.

Acceptable use

An account is for one person's own budget, or a household that person has invited. This section will set out what is not allowed: sharing a login, trying to get at another person's data, or interfering with the service, alongside what happens if one of them occurs.

Subscriptions and renewal

Plus and Household are paid subscriptions that renew automatically each billing period until cancelled, at the price shown on the pricing page when you subscribe. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not undo one that has already happened. This section will set out cancellation, refunds and price changes in the detail the Fair Trading Act 1986 requires for a subscription that renews without asking again each time.

Liability

This section will set out what Pay Plan is and is not responsible for if the service is wrong or unavailable, within the limits the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 allows: a business cannot contract out of a New Zealand consumer's rights under it, and nothing here will attempt to.

Changes to these terms

Pay Plan can change these terms. This section will state how much notice is given before a change applies, and where to find the version you agreed to.
